![]() My little snack invention wouldn’t have been possible without it! □ If you’re not afraid to eat a little rich here and there, I highly recommend you try. Then I garnished my plate with a few drops of chili sesame oil and a tiny sprinkle of Chinese five spice (on the side only). I placed the beef, sriracha mayo, and green onions on the crepe and folded up like a burrito. I then heated the beef with a bit of water and butter until all the water evaporated (extra browning/caramelizing on the beef) and mixed up a bit of sriracha mayo. I made a crepe batter and mixed in a little gojuchang before creating a really thin crepe. The snack was not healthy, but it was so delicious that I highly recommend. Since I live alone, I had a little left over today and decided to make a little snack with it. I also don’t drain my ground beef, because there’s usually not a lot to drain, but this does make it a little more oily. I made this last night and it was really good! The only thing I did differently was use more sauce. This dish really is the *perfect* meal prep for work. Wash it down with some hot tea or coffee and you’ll feel fresher than a newborn baby. (Actually, I know this is gross, but the aftertaste is really good- and I’ve never said that about a food before! Must be the ginger?) Lastly, it does what food is supposed to do, it’s energizing and it makes you feel full until dinner. This meal heats up beautifully in the microwave in about three minutes, and it smells good too! It also doesn’t make your breath smell bad if you frequently deal with people during the day- the touch of ginger really masks the fact that you just ate. (It’s almost always good to slightly overcook rice if you’re going to be reheating it.) If you go by the recipe, it makes four perfectly portioned lunches. I couldn’t find the sesame seeds at my commissary, sadly, but I did throw in some sauteed mushrooms and cooked my spinach and brown rice a tad longer than the instructions suggested. Made this as a meal prep for last week and let me just say, this will definitely be a regular. So while we cut down on eating out during the week, I’m sure this beef bowl will be in constant rotation at our house! Bulgogi is also marinated overnight to enhance its flavors and tenderness but with this ground beef version, you can have the same flavors in 15 minutes or less! ![]() Now this recipe is a twist on the traditional Korean dish, bulgogi, but it’s a cheater version using ground beef instead of thin slices of sirloin, making this a budget-friendly dish. The cooking process itself takes just about 10-15 minutes, and if you have some leftover cooked rice, you’ll have dinner on the table before you know it! It’s seriously one of the easiest recipes I have ever made. That’s when this Korean beef bowl comes in. ![]() ![]() Jason and I rotate between In-N-Out, Chipotle, or sushi dinners right at home because at the end of a full work day at the office, I can’t lift a finger in the kitchen. After all, we cook for a living, right? But in reality, at least for me, I’m constantly eating out during the week. There seems to be a notion that food bloggers enjoy lavish home cooked meals 3 meals a day, 7 days a week. Tastes like Korean BBQ and is on your dinner table in just 15 min from start to finish! Seriously.
